Design Philosophy
Zine Maker follows a few guiding principles:
- Privacy first — No tracking, no accounts, no data collection
- Local-first — Your work stays on your device
- Simple but not simplistic — Easy to start, capable enough to finish
- Print-focused — Designed for home printing, not screens
- Open — No lock-in, export everything as standard formats
Printing
The tool outputs print-ready PDFs with proper page imposition. Designed for standard home printers and letter-size or A4 paper. No special settings required beyond basic double-sided printing.
Inspiration
Zine Maker draws inspiration from the DIY zine tradition, museum catalog design, and the belief that everyone should be able to make and share their own publications.
